Who were the 'Giants in the Earth' before the Flood?
There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them.
What is this all about? Who were these giants? What sort of a situation is being described? It is simply saying something that true paleontology proved long ago, though false paleontologists have tried desperately and dishonestly to hide it. The earth was inhabited, from Adam to Noah, by men who were mighty, fierce, and gigantic. Animals were bigger too. We have found complete fossil remains of giant bear, giant camel, giant tigers, giant elephants frozen in ice, and other bones. No doubt there were giant lizards in those days, but the fact of giant lizards is one thing. The philosophical, paleontological necessity for the manufactured “dinosaur” is another altogether. Without question there were giant reptiles. In a 1980 interview with Dr. Duane T. Gish of the Institute for Creation Research near San Diego, I learned of the existence of a single bone of some creature that stood fifty feet high at the shoulder. Recently I have inspected a photograph of a Crocodile skull that is like the current animal in every way only the skull is seven times larger than any live animal recorded to have been taken. If this beast was seven times larger overall, it would have been more than one hundred feet long—possibly as much as one hundred and fifty feet long. Everything was bigger in those days and so were men.
There was a whole different breed from man today. We know nothing these days of men who have the physical ability to live more than 900 years.
Long after the Flood, in the book of Deuteronomy, we read about a giant whose bed was 19 feet long, it was 8 1/2 feet wide and it was made out of iron because wood would not hold him up.
What were men like in the days before the Flood? The Bible says they were mighty men, men of renown, men that had physical abilities, size, endurance, and strength that we cannot comprehend. Though tradition resists the notion, the implication is clear that al men were giants before the Flood.
